Government agencies trust JBoss Enterprise Middleware not just for development, but for production deployment of their mission critical application and services. Why? Enterprise class performance and scalability. Shorter development cycles and faster time-to-market. Industry leading support. And of course, outstanding value.

Red Hat and Unisys partnered to migrate U.S. Army mission-critical systems from a proprietary server platform to JBoss for better performance and lower costs. The migration increased reliability and efficiency with no disruption to ongoing operations.
"As a systems integrator, Unisys must be confident that the open source tools we select deliver value that matches the quality of our services. In creating mission-critical open source solutions for the US Army and US Navy, as well as for other government and enterprise clients around the world, Unisys has found that value in the performance, flexibility and economy afforded by the JBoss suite."- Anthony Gold, vice president and general manager, Open Source Business, Unisys.
Recognizing the need to provide commanders in the field with a better and more integrated source of logistics information, DISA has developed the Global Combat System (GCSS). GCSS is an initiative that integrates existing combat support information to gain efficiency and interoperability in support of the warfighter. DISA has implemented MetaMatrix in support of the GCSS program, enabling the transition from stove-piped systems a loosely coupled service-oriented architecture. MetaMatrix enables GCSS to provide real-time information from disparate data sources and makes distributed data accessible and manageable.
