JasperSoft is a market leader in open source business intelligence (BI). With more than 3.5 million downloads worldwide and more than 8,500 commercial customers in 96 countries, JasperSoft offers the most widely used business intelligence software in the world. The JasperSoft Business Intelligence Suite comprises an interactive reporting server, graphical and ad hoc report design interfaces, OLAP analysis, an ETL tool for data integration, and a Java reporting library for scalable small, medium, and large enterprises, for use as either standalone or embedded business intelligence applications.

JasperSoft and Red Hat have been working together for several years. JasperSoft supports all of the Red Hat technologies, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, JBoss, and Metamatrix. JasperSoft and JBoss both are critical Java technologies used by developers around the world to develop custom web applications. MetaMatrix is an SOA platform that JasperSoft can leverage as a virtual database to easily create reports and analysis across multiple data sources.

In addition to the technology relationship, Red Hat resells JasperSoft solutions through Red Hat Exchange (RHX). This has been a successful joint effort for both Red Hat and JasperSoft. RHX provides the benefit of being a single source of support for customers who wish to obtain all of their open source solutions from Red Hat.

Additionally, as announced at the 2008 Red Hat Summit in Boston, the two companies have extended their relationship through an OEM agreement that includes the incorporation of JasperSoft's reporting functionality in future releases of the Red Hat Network Satellite systems management product.
